Think of it as a dress rehearsal for the wedding — a relaxed hour or two, in golden light, where you remember that you actually like each other. Most couples are nervous in the first ten minutes and laughing by the twentieth.
Where it tends to happen
The Adelaide Botanic Garden at the end of the day, Morialta and Waterfall Gully for the bushland couples, Brighton and Glenelg jetties at the blue hour, and the laneways of Adelaide's East End for the urban-edge crowd. You pick a feeling — I'll suggest three locations that match.
Why book one before the wedding
Two reasons. First — save-the-date and invitation images you actually want to use. Second, and more important — you learn what it's like to be photographed by me before the wedding day, and I learn how you move together. On the wedding morning, that means we skip the awkward warm-up.
