2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

- Payment information (processed securely through third-party providers — we do not store card details)
- Pinterest board URLs or connected Pinterest account details when you use our shoot inspiration feature

- IP address and browser type when you visit our website
- Inside client galleries only: which photos are viewed, for how long, and which are downloaded (recorded by our own system, not a third-party analytics tool)
- Device type and operating system
- Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Section 8 — Cookies)
2.3 Information From Third Parties
Pinterest account data (boards, pins) only when you explicitly connect your Pinterest account through our client portal. We only access boards and pins you select — we never post to your Pinterest on your behalf.

We use your personal information to:
- Process and manage your photography bookings
- Communicate with you about your sessions, contracts, and invoices
- Deliver your client gallery and digital image downloads
- Review your Pinterest mood board to prepare for your shoot
- Send you booking confirmations and reminders

We do not use your information for:
- Selling or renting to third parties
- Unsolicited marketing without your consent
- Automated decision-making that affects your rights
4. How We Store & Protect Your Data
Your data is stored securely using industry-standard infrastructure:
- Our website and client portal data is hosted on Supabase, in Tokyo, Japan (AWS ap-northeast-1), and sent over encrypted (HTTPS) connections
- Client galleries and images are stored in secure cloud storage with access restricted to authorised users only
- Payment processing is handled by Stripe — we never store your card or banking details on our servers
- Pinterest tokens and credentials are stored in encrypted form and never exposed to the frontend of our application
- We limit access to personal data to only what is necessary to deliver our services
Data Retention
- Galleries stay open for 14 days (2 weeks) after delivery. Reminders are sent 7 days and 2 days before the link closes. After that the gallery link closes; contact us to reopen it. Please download your images before then.
- Client and booking records are kept for 2 years, then deleted.
- You may request earlier deletion of your data at any time (see Section 7)
6. Your Photographs
6.1 Ownership
All photographs taken during your session are owned by OCHESHOTIT Photography and Raphael Adole in accordance with Australian copyright law (Copyright Act 1968). You receive a personal use licence as specified in your booking contract.
6.2 Portfolio and Marketing Use
By default, we may use a selection of your photographs for our portfolio, website, and social media. If you do not consent to this, please notify us in writing before your session. We will always respect your wishes.
6.3 Third-Party Sharing
We will never sell your photographs to third parties or use them in any commercial context beyond OCHESHOTIT's own marketing without your explicit written consent.
6.4 Minor Clients
If your session involves children under 18, we require explicit written consent from a parent or guardian before any images are used publicly.
6.5 Gallery Access Window
Galleries stay open for 14 days (2 weeks) after delivery. Reminders are sent 7 days and 2 days before the link closes. After that the gallery link closes; contact us to reopen it. If you need it reopened, contact ocheshotit@gmail.com.
7. Your Rights (Australian Privacy Act + GDPR)
Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), and where applicable the GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
- Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data (subject to legal retention obligations)
- Withdrawal: Withdraw your consent for portfolio/marketing use of your images
- Pinterest Disconnection: Disconnect your Pinterest account from our platform at any time — this removes our access to your Pinterest data immediately
- Complaints: Lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au if you believe we have breached your privacy

9. Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent.
