Forget the white-shirts-and-khaki-pants formula. The frames you'll cherish are the ones where your three-year-old is mid-cackle and your partner is wrangling the dog. I bring the patience; you bring the family exactly as it is.
Sessions I shoot most
Newborn-at-home sessions in the first four weeks, milestone sessions (one year, school start, grandparents-and-grandkids), and extended-family gatherings when everyone's in town for Christmas. In-home sessions are quiet and intimate; outdoor sessions at Belair National Park, Linear Park or Henley Beach give the kids space to actually be kids.
How it actually goes
We start with five minutes of camera-shy chaos, ten minutes of you wondering if this was a mistake, and forty minutes of genuinely lovely photographs. I shoot fast, I keep moving, and I never ask anyone to say "cheese." If the baby needs feeding, we pause. If the toddler needs a snack, we pause. The schedule serves the family, not the other way around.
